Chapman Grove ’Atticus’ Chardonnay 2006 (Maragret River, WA)
|
NOTES
The Atticus range strives to achieve the best the Margaret River terroir can offer and is symbolised by the “Spirit of the Vine” – Anima Vitium. These wines have been produced using estate grown fruit carefully nurtured on the vine, skilfully crafted and finished in the best French oak to accentuate the distinctive varietal fruit flavours.
The range consists of a Chardonnay, Shiraz and a Cabernet Sauvignon. The Atticus wines are small in volume but great in stature.
TASTING NOTES
Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Aroma of honey and honeycomb followed by a hint of butterscotch showing good complexity. Mouthfilling, creamy texture. Flavours of yeast lees, honeycomb and cashew showing a sense of sophistication. Soft acid finish with a long aftertaste of fig, melon and cashew.
