NOTES
This 5 star James Halliday winery is situated in Frankland River, some 360kms south of Perth in Western Australia, and was established in 1998 by Ferngrove founder Murray Burton. Murray's faith in this unique vineyard region was well founded. Thanks to its location 90kms from the coast, between the cooling influence of the converging Southern and Indian oceans, the region has a cool climate that allows grapes to ripen with remarkable consistency from year to year. Delivering fruit and thus wine with characteristic delicacy and clear varietal character.
Ferngrove has established a reputation as a premium wine producer in the Frankland River region, and the winery is fast becoming recognised for its production of outstanding, cool climate wines from estate-grown fruit.

TASTING NOTES
Blend: 91% Shiraz, 6% Viogner, 3% Other
Crimson red in colour leading to a lively nose of lifted musk sticks, blueberry and dark plums. The palate is intense with fleshy and mouthfilling characters of black plums, licorice and blackberry. Viognier adds complexity and the finish is long and fine.
