NOTES
Semillon has found a natural home here in the Barossa. One of the very first white wine grape varieties planted by European settlers in the 19th century, the Barossa is now blessed with a rich heritage of old, low yielding Semillon vineyards. Peter Lehmann always had a particularly soft spot for Semillon and has worked with the family of growers to protect this magnificent inheritance.
Peter Lehmann pioneered this unique Semillon style – unoaked, lively, zesty, refreshing and crisp with plenty of fruit flavour and great length – and it has proved enormously successful.
TASTING NOTES
The colour is a delightful pale yellow with green tints. On the nose it has fresh aromas of lemon flower, a touch of honey and undertones of bees' wax, characteristic of Semillon. The palate is very clean with bright lemon/citrus flavours, and shows an attractive creamy soft mouth feel, and finishes long with an attractive zesty acidity.
