NOTES
The Angove family company, Angove's Pty. Ltd., is one of Australia's largest privately owned wine companies and stands as one of the few with strong interests in distilling as well as grape growing and winemaking. The origins of Angove's as a company have more to do with satisfying a way of life rather than a determination to establish a wine and brandy producing business. Dr. William Angove, an accomplished general practitioner and surgeon, with his wife and young family, emigrated from Cornwall in 1886 to establish a medical practice in South Australia.
TASTING NOTES
Medium straw in colour with brilliant pale gold hues that draw you towards the glass. Aromas of stone fruit, ripe melons and delicate oak swirl around in a hedonistic display and precede a palate with abundant ripe tropical fruits, some nutty and toasty characters and a long soft finish.

Over a year in bottle hasn't hurt it, but don't delay, as it's at the peak of development of secondary flavours, screwcap notwithstanding. Screwcap. 13.5% alc. Rating 87 Drink 2010 James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2011
