Briar Ridge Rockpile Chardonnay 2007
|
NOTES
Semillon and Shiraz have been the most consistent performers, underlying the suitability of these varieties to the Hunter Valley. The Semillon, in particular, invariably shows intense fruit and cellars well. Briar Ridge has been a model of stability, and has the comfort of substantial estate vineyards from which it is able to select the best grapes.
TASTING NOTES
The Rock Pile block was our original Chardonnay planting in 1972. A fresh and fruit driven style that is flavoursome on the palate. The wine is complimented by subtle French oak characters giving complexity and length to the finish. Suited to many occasions and many cuisines or simply enjoy a glass on its own. A good all rounder! Drinking well now.
