Briar Ridge Botrytis Semillon 2008 (375ml)
|
NOTES
Semillon and Shiraz have been the most consistent performers, underlying the suitability of these varieties to the Hunter Valley. The Semillon, in particular, invariably shows intense fruit and cellars well. Briar Ridge has been a model of stability, and has the comfort of substantial estate vineyards from which it is able to select the best grapes.
TASTING NOTES
The 2008 Botrytis Semillon has been made from "Noble Rot" infected fruit. After fermentation was complete the wine was barrel aged for four months in French oak. This wine displays rich, intense tropical fruit characters typical of this style.
