Henry of Harcourt Perry Cider 7.4% 500ml
|
NOTES
The Harcourt Valley has long been renowned for growing quality apples and pears. The flavour and crispness is derived from the unique interplay of soils and climate. Harcourt grows the familiar ‘sweet’ eating apple varieties, but also is the home of the most extensive range of ‘sharp’ cider varieties in Australia. The Henry family runs an orchard and cidery nestled under Mount Alexander at Harcourt, just over an hour North of Melbourne. They specialise in making "Real Ciders & Perry" utilising the best local fruit and traditional cidermaking methods. Fruit varieties include: Pink Lady, Kingston Black, Yarlington Mill, Beurre Bosc, Somerset Redstreak , Tremlett's Bitter.
TASTING NOTES
Poured very clear, cloudy yellow. Strong notes of Nashi pears in the aroma with lemon citrus, musky red apples and some wine yeast. Flavour was dominated by dry/ripe pears with sweet juicy red apples, some lime citrus, a touch of wood and acidic pears skins in the finish. Well hidden alcohol. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, a dry/sweet mouthfeel and a good finish.
