NOTES
The Moss family began their Margaret River vineyard in 1984 with a lot of expertise on side. Senior Moss, Jeff, had been growing grapes his whole life and David Moss had worked at both Houghton and Moss Wood for a number of years in both the vineyards and wineries.
Peter Moss, engineer, made stainless steel tanks and winery equipment including whole wineries and boutique breweries. Jane Moss studied wine making and grape growing at Roseworthy Agricultural College, Australia's leading wine science university. David had concepts about wine styles, and, the vineyard was planted with these in mind. The original line-up was Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend, Chardonnay and the Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend.
TASTING NOTES
Water white with light green hues; an explosive bouquet of passionfruit and gooseberry aromas with lemon/lime zest and lifted citrus and fruit salad aromas. The palate is consistent with the nose - rich with layers of passionfruit, kiwi fruit, tropical fruit salad and gooseberry flavours. Rich and persistent with lingering finish demonstrating the style and definition.
REVIEWS
No mistaking this cut grass and tomato bush aromatic approach from the West, though there‟s more to spike an interest here as asparagus, spices and tropical fruits show up alongside classic apples and stone fruits, all sparked to life by a lively acidity bringing the wine to fine line and length. Good, clean sauvignon blanc fun. Top 100 Adelaide Advertiser Nov 2008 92 points

This is fresh and juicy with lemon and lime aromas that have hints of guava and grapefruit. Not quite as pungent as sauvignon blanc from New Zealand‟s Marlborough but a little restrained and delicate. Jeff Collerson Daily Telegraph Newspaper Sydney –23rd July 2008
Lovely example of a restrained Sauvignon Blanc from Margaret River. Tropical fruit with subtle herbaceousness citrus. Pack some punch on a delightfully fresh palate. Ray Jordan The West Australian 90/100
The wildly intense aroma of passionfruit will charm you. The palate is soft with plentiful ripe-fruit flavours. Toni Paterson MW Australian House & Garden Dec 2008
