NOTES

The Vineyard Series honours the greatness of our growers' vineyards that have defined quality at Peter Lehmann Wines since our foundation in 1979. Each vintage we keep certain parcels of fruit separate and release them as individual wines. We believe these wines to be a true expression of the varietal characters and unique terroir of the vineyards from which they are made.

This is a superb Shiraz from exceptional Barossa vineyards in the high country of the Eden Valley - land of rugged beauty,shallow soils and a cooler climate than the lower Barossa Valley. Whilst the Eden Valley region is most associated with the noblest of white wine varieties, Riesling, it also produces fine, tautly structured Shiraz which is highly prized by Barossa winemakers.

TASTING NOTES

A blend of 93% Shiraz & 7% Muscadelle from the Ebenezer district of the Barossa. The wine offers smooth approachability, softness and suppleness. A beautiful bright dark cherry colour, the nose gives aromas of red forest fruits & hints of wild bramble characters. The 2 varieties were co-fermented; the Muscadelle contributing an intriguing fruit lift to the depth & richness of the Shiraz.

REVIEWS
