NOTES
The effortless vivacity of Rosé can be very deceptive. Making a great Rosé is one of winemaking’s true challenges and demands the very best of our vineyards and ourselves each vintage.
Peter Lehmann choose to use Grenache only from old, dry grown, low yielding bush vines. Their tiny bunches produce the delicious soft berry fruits and balancing acidity we highly prize when making our Rosé. Once the fruit is harvested, it needs an eye to detail and watchful winemaking to ensure we create a wine of clarity and excellent structure. The 2008 vintage after an early start, was marked by perfect harvest weather, warm days and cool nights during February. This was then followed by a burst of heat at the end.
TASTING NOTES
Vibrant, clear bright fuchsia with a faint rim of blue. Loads of freshly picked raspberries on the bouquet. A beautifully balanced wine on the palate with excellent structure; delicious fresh summer berries on the middle palate and a zinging finish from the natural grape acidity. A truly refreshing wine.
