White Wine > Sauvignon Blanc & Blends > Hahndorf Hill Winery Sauvignon Blanc 2009
|
NOTES
Hahndorf Hill Winery is a micro-boutique producer specialising in Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz, as well as a unique Rose and all wines are specifically crafted to provide a sensational experience with food.
Located outside historic Hahndorf village in the lush Adelaide Hills of South Australia the vineyard prides itself in maintaining a fresh vibrancy to the wines is due to their environmentally friendly way and of keeping their yields low to ensure pure, concentrated flavours. Their vines are rooted in a loamy mix of slate and ironstone benefiting from meticulous canopy management and yield control regimen. All the grapes are handpicked, plus irrigated as little as possible, to ensure that those carefully nurtured flavours remain locked into the berry before processing and producing the award winning Hahndorf Hill wines rated 5 stars in the 2009 James Halliday Wine Companion.
TASTING NOTES
Typical herbaceous and tropical nose, but crisp and super refreshing on the palate with zesty lime skins and capsicum flavours. Lingering guava flavours on the finish. This is the perfect summer quencher with a tight minerality that will enhance your alfresco dining experience. Enjoy this fine wine chilled with creamy salmon fettuccini, freshly chucked oysters or pan-fried pork medallions with crisp ginger and sesame crust.
