NOTES
Grove Mill was established in Marlborough in 1988 by a dedicated group of local grape growers and wine enthusiasts. Their mission: to make premium quality varietal wines that fully captured and reflected the delicious and unique intensity of Marlborough grapes. Grove Mill’s Southern Bell Frog inhabits the winery wetland and symbolises the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability. In 2006 Grove Mill became the world’s first carboNZero winery. Grove Mill’s philosophy is to make great wines with minimal environmental impact. By purchasing Grove Mill you are helping to minimise your impacts on climate change.
TASTING NOTES
A very satisfying bouquet with lots of passion fruit, sherbet, tropical fruit and typical Marlborough herbaceousness; the slightly minerally note on the nose shows up the 17 Valley fruit in the wine very nicely. The wine has a very intense entry onto the palate starting at the tip of the tongue and spreading out towards the very back in a wave of flavour. The acidity is quite apparent with great intensity of feijoa, lime and minerality leaving the palate with a very long finish. There’s also plenty of room for development to add to the already weighty mouthfeel.
