After extensive planning in London and upon returning to New Zealand, Rob and Tim began working with the leading grape growers in Marlborough and Central Otago to launch their limited release quality wines. Invivo was voted by the judges at the 2009 International Wine and Spirits Competition trophy finalist for New Zealand Wine Producer of the Year. At the 2009 Hospitality New Zealand Show, Invivo Wines was awarded the New Zealand Innovation in Wine Marketing Trophy. The judges comments about Invivo “Strong, linear, clear, and powerful as well as eye catching, it would translate well globally and stand out amongst the crowd. Every aspect was executed with outstanding application".
TASTING NOTES
Intense tropical fruit on the nose with clear notes of papaya, grapefruit and passion fruit, underpinning the high notes are limes and fresh cut capsicum. Fresh zesty acidity hits the palate and operates as a platform for the fruit to evolve. Full texture and balancing sweetness complete the palate and leave refreshing tropical notes. The 2009 Sauvignon Blanc is a pungent wine that will accompany seafood extremely well, fresh oysters with lemon and grilled fish on the barbeque are perfect partners.
