NOTES
The Angove family company, Angove's Pty. Ltd., is one of Australia's largest privately owned wine companies and stands as one of the few with strong interests in distilling as well as grape growing and winemaking. The origins of Angove's as a company have more to do with satisfying a way of life rather than a determination to establish a wine and brandy producing business. Dr. William Angove, an accomplished general practitioner and surgeon, with his wife and young family, emigrated from Cornwall in 1886 to establish a medical practice in South Australia.
TASTING NOTES
Deep, vibrant purple in colour with inky hues. Brooding ripe blackberry and liquorish flavours on the nose are complimented by spicy oak. The palate is rich with plums and berries balanced with integrated tannins. Great depth of flavour and silky structure show all the hallmarks of McLaren Vale Shiraz.
