NOTES
Poole’s Rock Wines was founded in 1988 at Broke in the Hunter Valley. The Poole’s Rock is the flagship label and represents the prestige varietal tier of our portfolio.
This is the second release of the Poole’s Rock Hunter Valley Semillon, a wine from our mature estate vineyards destined to become a Hunter Valley icon.
TASTING NOTES
Deep red in colour with hints of purple hue. It has soft silky tannins supported by mulberry, wild blackberries and blackcurrant flavours.
This is an outstanding shiraz from an excellent vintage. The wine will continue to develop gracefully over the next ten or more years if cellared in optimum conditions.
This is a medium-bodied wine which makes an ideal accompaniment to a wide variety of dishes, especially red meat dishes such as grills, roasts and casseroles, lamb, duck, pork or venison.
REVIEWS
Excellent crimson-purple hue; typical of the excellent '07 red wine vintage in the Hunter Valley; there is abundant savoury leathery regional character underpinning the long palate of tangy black fruits. Screwcap. 13.6% alc.
