Wine maker Ant Moore states “My goal is to make wine that has not just intensity, but complexity and interest on the palate. I’m really looking for a wine that will evolve in the glass and open up as consumed, revealing a variety of flavours and textures."
TASTING NOTES
Bright pale straw colour, the nose is fresh and lifted with ripe gooseberry top notes, followed by a slight vegetative note of asparagus and freshly mowed grass and just a hint of tropical fruit. On the palate the gooseberry component is dominant, with excellent weight and mouthfeel, delivering a refined palate sensation.
OTHER NOTES
Complexity and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc don't always go together but this wine is an exception. It's luscious and opulent, with excellent texture on the palate - no douvt coming from the small portion of barrel fermentation. 5 stars Epicure Uncorked
