NOTES
The 2007 vintage in the Adelaide Hills, like all vineyard regions, was dramatically affected by the worst drought in 100 years. The Adelaide Hills however, fared better than most, and our vineyards received enough rain to ensure a reasonable crop. We were affected again by frost, although not as devastatingly as in 2006. The Sauvignon Blanc in the Deanery Vineyard was 15% down on estimate and the Martin Hill Vineyard 10% down. These vineyards were supplemented in 2007 with some superb fruit from Lobethal and Piccadilly.
TASTING NOTES
The 2007 Bridgewater Sauvignon Blanc has intense varietal aromas of fresh, ripe tropical fruits, gooseberries, candy overtones with exotic herbaceous characters and great minerality. The palate has substantial flavour and texture, and finishes with crisp mineral dryness.
