Brothers Michael and Filippo Scarpantoni were born into and have spent all their lives in the family vineyards in the McLaren Vale region. As teenagers they hand planted many vineyards, one of the first being a block of Cabernet Sauvignon with cuttings taken from some of the earliest Cabernet vines in Australia. Over 3 decades later the vineyard which stands on a sandy ironstone hill overlooking the winery is producing fruit of great depth and complexity. It is from this vineyard, now known as “The Brothers Block” that Michael and Fil produce Sauvignon which is uniquely McLaren Vale. Best enjoyed after 12 months of bottle maturation and will further reward with long term cellaring.
