Hubert de Castella’s passion for the Yarra valley saw him establish St Huberts in 1862. In 1880 St Huberts won Emperor Wilhelm I of Germany’s award for the most successful exhibitor at the Melbourne International Exhibition. The 2004 St Huberts Cabernet Sauvignon is a classically structured wine combining power with finesses, varietal intensity with elegance. The 2004 vintage was warm and dry, excellent conditions for maturing cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon. This medium bodied wine has opulent red berry and cassis flavours supported by subtle oak. St Huberts Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine that will benefit from careful cellaring.
