Red Wine > Shiraz & Blends > Yalumba Patchwork Shiraz 2007 (Barossa Valley)
|
NOTES
Yalumba has, for more than 150 years, been a vital part of the Barossa, making wines that reflect the best of the region. This wine is no exception. Made from Barossa Shiraz grown on 25-35 year old vines, it is a wine of concentrated flavour and aroma.
TASTING NOTES
Deep, crimson red in colour, the wine displays an excellent depth of colour, richness and complexity. Wonderfully delicious savoury aromas of pepper steak and quince, eucalypt and spice, it then moves into a secondary spectrum of blackcurrant and blackberry, chocolate and liquorice. The palate displays mesmerising red berry fruits which gets you involved with its lingering closure as it sails away amongst waves of plums and cedaryness, confectioned fruits and cocoa oak.
