Cascabel's proprieters, Duncan Ferguson and Susana Fernandez, planted a 5 ha mosaic of Southern Rhone and Spanish varieties to reflect the winemaking experiences of the both Duncan and Susana in Australia, the Rhone Valley, Bordeaux, Italy, Germany and NZ and also of Susana's birthplace, Rioja.

TASTING NOTES
A blend of Grenache, Monastrell (Mourvedre) and Shiraz, the wine displays savoury, spicy and leathery overtones. It then explodes with black fruits and raspberries leading to a palate of excellent texture and structure with fine grained tannins and a long finish. 92 Points James Halliday Wine Companion 2004
