NOTES
Harvested on the 9th March 2005 from Block 22 of the Amery vineyard, the grapes were traditionally processed (open fermentation and basket pressed) and aged in American oak casks for 23 months prior to bottling.
TASTING NOTES
The colour, a black cherry with garnet hue, it leads into a perfumed bouquet of violets, blackberry, mint, eucalypt and spices. The palate shows a fruit explosion of mulberries, blackcurrant, cassis and red capsicum and has a tight, balanced acid structure, supported with integrated oak and firm, lingering tannins. This delicios wine shows great cellaring potential. 15% Alc.
OTHER NOTES
.....Even better than the 2004 Cabernet, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Amery reveals sweeter fruit as well as additional notes of chocolate, cedar, blackcurrants and spice box. This dense, rich, high class Cabernet Sauvignon is a sensational steal that should evelove for a decade or more.
