Frankland Estate Isolation Ridge Riesling 2007 (Frankland River, WA)

NOTES

Frankland Estate was established by Barrie Smith and Judi Cullam in 1988.

The Isolation Ridge vineyard was developed on part of a 3000 acre property in the Frankland River region on which the family has run a wool growing enterprise since 1974. Today the family continue to have significant wool-growing interests and manages a flock of some 10, 000 merinos.
Riesling wines from the Frankland River region are renowned for their intense varietal flavours and crisp fresh acidity.

TASTING NOTES

Judi Cullam is a tireless champion of riesling and terroir, thus it's wholly fitting that this exemplary wine should come from estate vines that are nearly 20 years old. Powerful aromas of lemon and lime, plus touches of spice, all followed by an even more powerful and intense palate, with dominant citrus flavours and great length. $27, S, 12%; From: Frankland River, WA; Drink: Now-2017; 96 points & Halliday's Top 100 - The Weekend Australian November 10-11, 2007
