NOTES
From humble beginnings in the Northland kauri gum fields early last century, Babich Wines have become one of New Zealand’s most respected wineries. Their reputation for making excellent wine extends beyond New Zealand’s shores.
TASTING NOTES
A gentle vinous aroma greets the taster hinting at sweet fruits, particularly pear and spice. The palate delivers on this promise with an initial surge of fruit, again pear and also apricot, with apple and mineral notes mingling on the finish. The texture of the wine is creamy with a fine structure - the acidity refreshing and balanced.
Recommended Food:
Works well with snapper fillets, rolled in fresh breadcrumbs and shallow fried, or with hot baked ham and glazed kumara.
